We appreciated the info., accepted this and I went for the x-rays.

Again, this was told to my wife by Marie, the office manager.

Our Experience:

St Albans Health Center is an example of how a healthcare provider/system is failing their clients.

My wife spoke with Marie Boudreau (the manager) shared our experience and she stated afterward that she would converse with Matt. Marie later call us confirming the cost Matt quoted us is what he thought it would be and was sorry it had cost more.

I reiterated that this is most important to us to not go above the said costs (we had an in-depth discussion about this) and that we didn't desire any surprises - he assured us it shouldn't be the issue at all.

About 2 weeks later we received a statement from our insurance provider that the fees were to be close to $500.00 (which would be applied toward our deducible)

I have yet to have my appointment as I am,waiting for my previous records.....but the customer service I have received this far has been above and beyond I called today to check if my records have been sent and Danielle was so sweet she asked for my prior office number and said she would call them to see what the status was and call me back I'm actually looking forward to making this my primary office ..

My wife and I truly expected more.

Nurse Practitioner Matthew Miffit, (it wasn't needed though I thought to see if something was askew in my hip area due to experiencing some minor aches) discussed potential costs for such services.

We called into the Health Center to speak with Matt though he wasn't available - they don't seem to allow you to speak with your doctor when needed, and always try to redirect you away to someone else, as the doctors they say, are too busy to speak with you - this would be just fine, if they would just call us later in the day or the following... though it doesn't happen.

We asked if they would assist us due to the oversight on Matt part, though all she could say was that he shouldn't have said this and unfortunately they would do nothing to assist us.

We called into Northwestern Medical Center (who provided the x-ray services) and after an hour of sharing our story and them and their doing their research, they decided to accept a side of the story Matt, Marie or whomever they spoke to provided to them with and declined to further assist us - we are believing that St Albans Health Center didn't share the truth, for if so, why would they not assist us?

Being I was aware that our deductible hadn't been reached, I mentioned to Matt that I wished not to pay more than $100-$150 dollars for the x-rays, and if so, I would decline to get them - he thought it should cost no more than $100.00.

They were friendly, though this doesn't matter when they smile and treat you in such a way - it actually feels allot worse.

A Health Care provider being dishonorable is the worst feeling, as it is the place where we go to support our health and well being, were we fell the most scared and vulnerable, and where we need to feel secure and cared for...

It fascinates us that you can get better treatment from a furniture store who will back their items/product/offers better than your health-practitioner - as told to us by a friend in passing who we shared our experience with.

If you are self-employed and your insurer doesn't cover certain services and/or your deductible has not been reached, you will desire to stay away from this establishment.

We went in for a routine scheduled physical and left feeling overall sickened by our experience, due to all the frustrations/stress created from this situation.

They had recently went purchase a product from a furniture store that was listed in the stores add for selling less than what is listed for sale in the store... after they shared the add with the employee, without hesitation, the manager came to share with them that they would of course honor the price in the add... further stating... integrity is most important, we stand behind this and they further apologized for the oversight.)
